Welcome to Barns and Birds, a showcase for the photography of Ruth Tremblay and Linda Cornwell. In 2015, we embarked on a full-time journey in our RV to capture the subjects we truly love to photograph. Ruth's photographic work focuses on documenting historic barns and farms She began working on her barn portfolio in 2005 in her home state of Minnesota. Linda uses her camera to capture her passion for birds. She has photographed hundreds of bird species around the US. As we continue to develop our site we will offer opportunities to purchase calendars and prints of our work. We will also have a blog so you can follow us on our adventures. Have you ever wanted to hit the road in your own RV just to see the country? The RV Life section of our site will give you insight on what it is like to travel full-time in an RV. We'll also share some of the solutions we found for situations we encountered on the open road. We are just getting started on this site so check back often to see what we're up to and join us on our journey. — Ruth & Linda
When I photograph old barns I am reminded of their rich histories. For a brief moment my camera has the power to transport me into the past. These magnificent structures represent an earlier agrarian lifestyle, a placeholder for history and a reminder of a simpler time in America. I use my camera not only to create an image of the rustic barns but also to preserve their history and images for future generations. I especially enjoy sharing them with folks that have retired from farming and hearing their personal stories and remembrances of life on the farm. I invite you to view my gallery and take your own journey back in time.

When I look through my lens I am awestruck at the natural beauty of the different bird species. These fascinating creatures offer me so much enjoyment. I especially love observing their behaviors both learned and instinctive. It is a joyous experience to capture that fleeting moment that creates the perfect shot. I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to use my camera to capture small glimpses of what it is like in their world. I invite you to view my gallery to experience the magic of the bird world.
